GERMAN GOLFER ERB IS A HOLE LOT CLOSER TO A MILLION

German golfer Corinna Erb is the latest player to earn a shot at our mega Million Dollar Hole in One jackpot after she grabbed her inaugural ace during a golfing break in Portugal’s Algarve.
But the 27-handicapper left it late to seal a place in MDHIO’s grand final next year as it was the last round of a seven-day trip when she achieved the feat.
Erb, who had already enjoyed rounds at the Old Course, Victoria, Pinhal and Laranjal during her stay, paid the €10 to play MDHIO on the par-three seventh hole at Vale do Lobo’s Royal Course. The Berlin-based Gatow Golf Club member used an eight iron to land her first hole-in-one after 18 years of playing golf, seeing the ball hit the front of the green before rolling up the slope and into the cup.
Erb’s pinpoint accuracy means she will now line up in MDHIO’s grand final, which will take place in Augusta, USA during the Masters next April, where a repeat of those heroics will land her a stunning $1million jackpot.
