First ever ACE puts Bertram in the running for a million $

Bertram Staudenmaier from Heidenheim in Germany made his first ever ace on the 171 metre 7th hole on Ocean course at Vale do Lobo on 7th Jan 2020. He was with his wife, Danica, who witnessed the feat. Both were ecstatic at Bertram winning a place at the next MDHIO Grand Finals.

The flag was Centre of the green and he holed a 5 iron for his Ace. He has been playing at Hochstadt golf club for 15 years and is now aged 58. The actual shot landed on the front of the green and released forward into the hole from the right. He was pleased to hear that the trip to the masters was not in 2020 as he was due to climb Mount Everest at that time!

We look forward to accompanying him to our next Grand Finals.
